We would love to have you come and experience taekwondo with us!
Bring a drink bottle and loose fitting clothes and arrive ten minutes early. If you decide to stay we can arrange a uniform for you. We train in bare feet, so shoes that you can easily remove and put on are useful. Please remove watches, dangly earrings and bracelets.
Children from age 4 are welcome to come and train. Families often all train together.
The class starts with all students lining up, doing warm ups and stretching followed by a lot of kicking! The second half of the class may involve a number of different aspects including fitness, strength, endurance, and flexibility. Poomsae / Forms are patterns of kicks, punches and blocks memorised in a pattern and practiced towards the end of class. Class always finishes with students lining up again and going through a cool down.
To start taekwondo you don’t need to be fit or flexible, you just need to have enthusiasm and a willingness to give it a go.
