It has been an exciting month at Sangrok with an introductory weapons workshop, some great classes and welcoming new students! We’re coming up to our first grading of 2022 so we hope you are all training hard so you can be your best!
New class – Poomsae
Sabonim Pravin is running a new poomsae focused class on Saturday mornings. It will run for 45 minutes from 11.30am to 12.15pm. These poomsae specific classes are a fantastic way to learn new poomsae, brush up on old poomsae, and prepare for grading!
Beginner / Grading-prep workshop
With the first grading of 2022 coming up on the 2nd of April, we will be running a beginners workshop (suitable for all white/yellow/orange/green belts), that includes a mock-grading on 20 March 2022 from 9-11am. It is a great way to experience how a Sangrok grading works – with no stress! It also gives you the opportunity to work on key basic skills and ask questions in a beginner focused environment. Return to full uniform for classes
With autumn comes the end of wearing T-shirts in the dojang. Please ensure that you wear your full dobok and belt to training from now onwards. Introductory weapons workshop
Instructor Darien led Sangrok’s first introductory weapons workshop. It was a great morning learning about the history of different weapons in martial arts and how to use them. We look forward to running more weapons based workshops in the future! Note Darien’s improvised knife!!
