It’s starting to get cold in the dojang, especially in the mornings. It’s ok to start training in a jumper (Sangrok hoodie preferred), but please remember to take your socks off. We know the mats are really cold, but it is a slip hazard. It’s still important to bring a drink bottle to training as, although it’s cold, we still get quite warm training! We recommend bringing a labelled drink bottle to training and leaving it in the dojang.

WORKSHOPS

We have two great workshops coming up in June – please remember to register for these via the website – these workshops will only run if there are enough interested participants.

Sunday 4th June (2-4pm) – Women’s training workshop

This session is open to all current female students as well as parents, sisters or friends who might like to come along and have a kick in a supportive, fun environment. We will finish up with drinks and snacks! Current students can register via the website. If you’re not a current member or there is someone you would like to invite to join us at this session, please let us know and we will send you a special registration form.

Sunday 18th June (10am-12pm) – Weapon’s workshop

This workshop is aimed at students 13 years and older, however, individual applications from younger students will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

We will be running introductory and intermediate self-defence workshops, based on habitual acts of violence with increasing realism in scenarios in term 3.

GRADING

Grading is coming up on Saturday 24 June. Invitations have been sent out, so if you are planning to attend please register as soon as possible to help us with organisation of the day (this is a big job). Likewise, if you know you can’t attend grading, please send us a quick email so we don’t chase you up.

The 10.30am class will not run on the grading day, so if you were planning to attend, please book and alternative class.

Any red belt students who are planning to grade must have their pre-grading assessment completed by 10 June 2023.

LONG WEEKEND TRAINING DATES

Due to the public holidays there are no classes on Monday 29 May or Monday 12 June. Please book into an alternative class – if you need help email info@sangrok.net.au.
