We’ve already had a couple of chilly mornings, but we can expect those Saturday mornings to start getting even colder! Although it is cold, it doesn’t take long to warm up, and you will always feel better for starting your weekend with some taekwondo!

SELF DEFENCE WORKSHOP

We are hosting an intermediate self defence workshop on Sunday 16 June from 2-5pm. At this session we will work through all the new self defence content in the curriculum that is required for grading from red belt to 4th dan.It is highly recommended that all red and black belt students (over 14 years old) attend this workshop in preparation for upcoming gradings, however, all students, regardless of belt rank will find this a valuable training opportunity and everyone is welcome! Please register directly via Clubworx (app or portal) or just send us an email!

If you have a child under 14 who would like to join, please get in touch with us and we will discuss their suitability.

The session finishes at 5pm and the Korean restaurant down the road opens at 5 – this is not a coincidence! We will book a table for anyone who would like to get dinner after training.

FEEDBACK WEEK – BLUE BELT PREGRADING

This week coming (1-6 June) is feedback week. For blue belts this means you will go through a mini pre-grading assessment in your classes this week. There is nothing to worry about, except making sure that you make it along to at least 1 class this week. For white and yellow belt students, you will experience a mock grading in preparation for upcoming gradings.  Red and black belt students will gain experience in giving constructive feedback and will also work towards their own pre-grading assessments.

GRADING

Grading is coming up on 29 June with invitations to come out in early June. Red belt students should ensure that pre-grading assessments are completed by 15 June – this week at training is a great time to get feedback!
