With summer over, we are almost half way through our Term 1 and looking forward to our first grading for 2025 in April. We also have a number of students who are aiming to achieve their cho dan bo black belt or 1st dan in October so it is a big year of training coming up.

NEW CLASS UPDATE

Our Sangrok Mini! classes are going great with Darien leading our youngest students through taekwondo skills and techniques in a fun, game-based class.

We are also running our new Thursday 6.30 pm intermediate class. This is new for 2025 and it is a trial for Term 1. If you would like to see this class continue for the rest of the year, it is important that we have good class numbers so please come along!

OUR CLASSES

We offer 2 regular classes: Beginner/general training classes and intermediate classes. While we have many students attending our beginner classes across all belt levels, if you are a red belt or above, please remember that to learn and practice the skills for your gradings, you will need to ensure you are also attending intermediate classes.

Blue belt students are encouraged to attend intermediate classes, particularly as they work towards their red belt grading. The Monday and Thursday intermediate sessions are an excellent option, as their smaller size allows for more personalised training from the instructor.

Our planning training focus for the coming weeks is below. Our grading for Term 1 will be held on Saturday 5 April and grading invitations should come out in a couple of weeks.

NO TRAINING ON CANBERRA DAY

We have a public holiday coming up so there will be no classes on Monday 10 March. Please come along to a different class that week!

NO MORE T-SHIRTS

The end of summer means the end of wearing t-shirts to training, so from tomorrow onwards, please wear your full dobok and belt to training.

Sadly, while this means that the days are going to start getting much colder and shorter soon, it also means you can buy a Sangrok hoodie!! Our online store is here. We don’t add any markup to the online store prices so that our t-shirts and hoodies are as cheap as possible.

ANNUAL INSURANCE

You will have noticed that your most recent (or upcoming) membership has been adjusted to include your annual AusTKD insurance fee. If you have any questions, please just get in touch!
