Hello all,
Welcome to our yearly, combined grading for both Mitchell and Radford students!
It is that time of year again where we show off what we have learnt and test our skills for the next level. Grading will be held at our Mitchell studio from 10:30am, and will be separated into belt order groups with a staggered start. It is highly encouraged that students attend earlier to support other students going through the process, as well having the opportunity to see higher belts grade. The start dates for each group will be confirmed closer to the date as grading numbers become clearer.
You must register in order to attend grading. Without registering we may not have a belt or a certificate ready, and it will slow down the grading process for all other students. There is a high chance that you will not be graded if you do not register. Instructors will discuss with you, or your child, in the weeks leading up to grading about whether they are ready to attend grading. However, if you have any questions or queries about readiness to grade then please discuss it.
Attendance to grading is by registration and acceptance. Key dates are detailed below:
- Register your intent to grade online no later than 23 November 2019. The online form is attached below. ** Please select the correct payment for the number of students.
- Acceptance will be via an email invitation, and will include the grading group and start time. The email will be released a week prior to grading.
- Payment of grading fees is required and is completed during submission. The form will load Paypal to transfer, if you have any issues using Paypal you can close it out. The registration will be received, but then please talk to an instructor ASAP to discuss payment.
- On the rare occasion that grading is not accepted, the fees will be refunded.
Saturday classes:
- The 1030am class will NOT be running on this day. Students are free to attend any of the earlier classes (730am, 830am, and 930am).
- Students who are grading can attend earlier classes if they wish.

If this is one of your first gradings, then consider attending the Term 4 Beginner workshop – information is available here. This workshop is specifically designed for students who have not attended grading before, but is also open up to anyone else interested.
