It has been so great to see our students and families continuing their taekwondo training at home! While we miss training with you at the dojang, it’s lovely to see everyone having fun, keeping fit and practicing taekwondo via Zoom!

We’re preparing for the return to training in our dojang – The Australian Institute of Sport has released guidelines for the resumption of community sport in Australia. While we don’t yet know when we will be able to start training in our dojang again, the Sangrok Team is busy preparing for how this will look for our club! You can find more information here.

Thank you – Here at Sangrok we truly appreciate all our members who have stuck with us through this difficult time!  We would like to let you know that when the club is back up and running we will be offering a discount on fees to show our gratitude!

Online classes – Zoom classes with Sabonim Pravin are going strong! All the information for joining in these classes is in the Secure Student Content section of our website.  We are also recording some of these classes and uploading them to our website if you can’t make the online sessions.  Thanks Sabonim Pravin!

If you have any suggestions or requests for training ideas or extra class times please get in touch! We hope to be able to run some extra ad-hoc classes during the week.

Timetable – Our upcoming online classes are on:
Saturday – 9.30am
Saturday – 10.30am (poomsae)
Monday – 6.00pm
Wednesday – 6.00pm

Videos – Trip Sir has been hard at work creating lots of new videos for our members!  You can find kicking drills, leg and core strengthening exercises for beginner and intermediate levels, poomsae videos and much more!  We’re regularly uploading new content to the Secure Student Content section of our website!

Challenge – Join us in our push up challenge!  Bought to you by the Sangrok.Academy team we’re aiming to complete 50 push ups in row in two months time!  All you need to do is follow the plan provided by Sangok.Academy – and just for some more fun – add your name to this list and tally your number of pushups so we can add up how many push ups we have done as a club!

Grading – Grading is ON. We have thought hard about how to do it in the current environment and we have decided to run this grading via video submission. As usual, grading is by invitation only. Grading invitations have been sent to those who are eligible, however, if you think that you are ready for grading and you didn’t receive an invitation, please get in touch with us.

Facebook – Our Sangrok Students Facebook group is a fantastic way to keep up to date with all things Sangrok! Please join us!

Instagram – We’d love to share photos of you doing taekwondo from home! If you have a photo to share, please send it via Facebook Messenger or email to erin.mace@live.com.au
