As a member club of Australian Taekwondo, Sangrok is bound by all their relevant policies. Fully registered Mitchell students are members of Australian Taekwondo. The latest versions of these policies can be found here.
Registering for Classes
Students must pre-register for classes to ensure that we do not exceed the maximum number of people allowed in our dojang. Please read the instructions for registering for classes. If you do not have a unique member portal or log-in code, let someone from the Sangrok team know. Please note, if you don’t pre-register for a class, you may be asked to leave
Code of Conduct
As a member club, Sangrok endorses the Australian Taekwondo Code of Conduct where “Australian Taekwondo (Sangrok) seeks to provide a safe, fair, respectful and inclusive environment for everyone involved in our organisation and in our sport and to protect the integrity and reputation of Taekwondo in Australia. The ability for us to participate, compete, officiate and enjoy our martial art and sport requires a clear understanding of and compliance with certain standards of behaviour, known as our Codes of Conduct.”
The full Code of Conduct can be found here.
Member Protection & Child Safety
As a member club, Sangrok endorses the Australian Taekwondo Member Protection policy where “Member Protection is a very important part of the Australian Taekwondo’s (Sangrok’s) activities. The ability for us all to compete, officiate and enjoy our martial art and sport requires a clear awareness of the responsibility we have to ourselves, our members and others around us. Australian Taekwondo (Sangrok) has formalised these basic tenets into a Member Protection Policy.”
The full Member Protection and Child Safety Policy can be found here.
Minimum Age Policy
As Sangrok is focused on family training with classes that cater for adults, teens, and children training together, we do not have specific classes for young children. Children younger than 7 are welcome to train, free of charge, with a parent who is training alongside them and supervising them throughout the class. If you don’t wish to train alongside your young child (< 7 years old), please get in touch with us to discuss your child’s training!
Grading Policy
Sangrok has a grading policy to ensure quality standards. It is available here. Please speak to your instructor if you have any further questions.
Heat Policy
Sangrok seeks guidance from Sports Medicine Australia for training during the Summer months to evaluate heat stress risk. This includes the Extreme Heat Policy and Hot Weather Guidelines.
Online Learning Materials
Significant training material, including the full curriculum and other information is available to registered students through the Online Learning Area pages.
Referral Program
As a club we rely heavily on word of mouth. As part of this, we have created a Referral Program where people can refer friends and family to join. We are also always keen to receive 5-star reviews on Google and Facebook – if you are not comfortable with leaving a 5-star review then please chat to us and we talk about where we can lift the rating.
